Senior SilverStripe Developer — Wellington

We are looking for a SilverStripe developer who is skilled, confident, enthusiastic and collaborative to join our team. You must have over 5 years experience and be able to demonstrate great front and backend skills. 

At DNA we build outstanding user interfaces for websites, mobile and applications that tackle meaningful problems and are tailored for the users that will benefit the most from those projects. You will be part of the development team helping shape and deliver websites and web applications that make a significant difference. 

To deliver a fantastic user experience you will to partner with other disciplines, work alongside client teams or third-party developers and participate in defining solutions, and preparing requirements.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS (+LESS or SASS) and Javascript.

  • 5+ years of experience with PHP frameworks (preferably SilverStripe).

  • Knowledge and experience implementing best practice accessibility (WCAG 2.0).

  • Experience with source control systems, branching structures and setting up and running unit testing.

As Senior Developer you will:

  • Be able to take initiative and produce results.

  • Be able to collaborate effectively with a talented team.

  • Demonstrate an ability to suggest and carry out practical actions to deal with issues.

  • Lead new projects from start to finish – and then support your work ongoing. 

  • Know what needs to be done and don't need much probing to get things underway.

  • Help chart the course of projects and guide clients towards the best and most appropriate technical solutions.

  • Have a keen eye for detail and pride in the quality of your work.

  • Have an appreciation for designers, clients, project managers and testers and enjoy having them involved all the way through the process.

  • Enjoy the challenge of learning new stacks, new technologies and new ways for working.
