Helping generate employee experience insights that capture the many voices within an organisation.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has made a commitment to their people to focus on the experiences and environment needed to effectively deliver their Kaupapa and strategy. To help deliver the strategy they wanted to start by better understanding their people first – and this project provided the right foundation for capturing their current state.

Challenge.

As a newly formed Ministry, HUD partnered with DNA to conduct exploratory research with a diverse group of their employees across multiple business units, roles and levels. They wanted to better understand what it is currently like to work at HUD, how their teams are enabled and to uncover important insights that would inform the development of their People Experience Strategy.

Solution.

A series of iterative rounds of virtual research led to us uncovering, validating and crafting a set of current and aspirational people experience statements. These statements represented a collective guiding voice for HUD’s people, speaking to common insights and needs across the organisation. Detailed themes and opportunities sat beneath these statements and provided HUD with a deeper level of insight, acting as a great starting point for co-creating positive people experiences.
